Tony Hart forced to give up art

The guy is a legend, I grew up loving his work on shows like Vision On and Take Hart, sad news that a series of strokes have left him unable to paint anymore. Click on Tony's picture to visit his site

Poor old Tony, didn't know he was in the Gurkha Rifles.

The idea of a disused studio in his garden is rather sad.

Tony is a God. Not many men can pull off a neck scraf these days. And don't forget Wilf Lunn, http://www.wilflunn.com/index.html

If it wasn't for the fact that this is an act of God I'd say it was sacrilege.

This is a bit grim.

Cremola Foam, Animal Magic, Rucanor school bags, Bagpuss, betamax video recorders, and Tony Hart.
All things that instantly take me back to my childhood.

Who says you can't time travel.

Sad news indeed.

Coincidentally, I set up a gallery section on our VLE area today, and, of course, there's just one piece of music I had to include.

Wilf - gorsh, there's a name I hadn't heard in years.

And now, back to Andrew, aged 12, from M'boro ...

Isn't it always the way in life. Tony's fate is not dissimilar to Beethoven's deafness or Hawking's disability in that afflictions always strike at the heart of an individual's creativity. I grew up watching "Vision On", too.
