Christian Bale Joins Terminator 4

Reports suggest that Batman actor Christian Bale is to become a part of the Terminator franchise.

Rumors are that Bale has been cast as John Connor in the upcoming fourth feature film Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins which begins shooting early 2008

Charlie's Angels director McG is helming the project, the start of a new trilogy of future-set films covering the war between humanity and the robots of Skynet.

The project is set for a Summer 2009 release.

Oh dear. Don't think Bale can even save this one. To misquote Indiana Jones, "McG. Why did it have to be McG?"

There's also a rumour that he may be playing the Terminator and not John Connor.

He looks like he could be John Connor if you think back to the second movie where we see him with the scars and such...but McG? From Charlie's Angels? Whuh...I'm just about speechless.

Have you seen any of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles", Andrew? If so, is it any good?

Hokum. That's what I reckon. What, Bale has a penchant for franchises reboots with the word 'Begins' in the title? Nah. Can't see it. Won't see it. It's all lies I tell you, lies!!!

Bring back Trancers!!! The world needs Jack Deth!!!!!

Not seen the Sarah Connor Chronicles, not really to bothered about it, the only redeeming feature about it sounds like it might be the fact it has Summer Glau from Firefly in it. :)

The idea of yet another Terminator movie doesn't thrill me, even if Bale is in it.
