If they get "Tyres" to play Kirk that would be absolutely hilarious...!

Oh boy, talk about miscasting. I don't think Pegg is right for this at all.

Think I lean to the 'no way' side. Interesting, but not convincing. Still, at least we know Scotty will be a comedy side kick.

Simon Pegg shouting "She cannae take it Jim" in a Scottish accent is only going to get a big fat laugh at a point in the movie when people are likely supposed to be on the edge of their seats. I don't buy it.

No I don't either. But then again I don't buy this whole idea of a Star Trek prequel. I think Star Trek should be left now for good.

There's a writers strike coming isn't there in Hollywood land?

Usually means two things.

1)Movies that studios never normally take a chance on get made and we get a few inspired gems and possible trend setters with all manner of A list talent taking the leads.

2)Movies that suck horrifically just in an outline, never mind a first draft get made with lavish amounts of money thrown at them with all manner of A list talent taking the leads.

Interesting times.

I'm going to wait to see thee film before getting too down about it. It might actually be a gem and make us forget about the Entrprise series.
