Hollywood actor HARRISON FORD was left red faced after he confused one of his
Star Wars co-stars at a restaurant for a waiter. Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO in all six
Star Wars films, approached Ford - who starred as Captain Han Solo in the blockbuster franchise - but he didn't know who Daniels was. Speaking at the launch of the
Star Wars Exhibition in London, England last Friday (04May07), he says, "I was at a London restaurant a few years ago and I noticed Harrison Ford. I went over to speak to him - and he asked me what dish I recommended. I think he thought I was a waiter."

That is a terrible story... I never understand why AD seems to go in for such public self-flagellation... I heard him give a talk in which he said that Lucas had never wanted him to voice C3PO and it was only after the footage was filmed that they found that they couldn't find another voice that worked with Daniel's idiosyncratic movements, so eventually they had to get him to do the vocals...
I saw him not so long ago at an after-screening party wandering around being mostly NOT recognised except for a few cruel, over-champagned, folk who did jerky C3PO impressions when his back was turned...
Very sad. I just hope he gets some dosh somewhere down the line to make such anonymous fame bearable...
I agree. That's horribly sad.
However, I have to point out that, like Anthony Daniels, I too wouldn't get recognized by Harrison Ford. But I'm actually quite pleased about that.
Well it's not like Harrison saw Anthony's face as much as Anthony saw Harrison's. They had very few scenes together, he was wearing a mask, and it was quarter of a century ago.
Ouch. Poor 3p0.
I'm sure he would have gave him a good tip.
I'm inclined to agree with Kevin. Pretty excusable faux pas. If it had been Mark Hamil and Harrison had thrown his car keys at him mistaking him for a car valet then I could understand the outrage.
This is pretty funny.:)
