Doctor Who sweeps Welsh Baftas

I can understand Doctor Who winning but not so sure about the rather pants Torchwood.

I thought Torchwood was very hit and miss. Didn't get to see all the episodes though.

Dumb guy here...what does "pants" mean in reference to something...obviously it is not a good thing...

Big clue. "WELSH" Baftas.

nudge nudge, wink wink.

Torchwood had too much sex and not enough monsters etc. A wasted opportunity.

Yeah Pants just means a bit rubbish really !!

Also, when something is irretrievably and unrectifiably pants it is usually preceded by the word 'utter'.

Dr who - yayyy. Torchwood - gayyyy (but not in a homophobic way).

Torchwood seemed like it had been made by a committee of teenagers with too many hormones and no talent. You really could tell what the writers had been watching before they wrote the stories. Which is odd as a few of the writers are good away from Torchwood. A mistake of a show, in my mind.

Torchwood-As Empire puts it, all the characters seemed to hate each other and that was precisely my problem. If the characters can't stand each other, why should I. In all the effort to make a 'grown up' show, they seemed to think this meant a 'This Life' as far as the non sci-fi aspects went. Everything was far too mean spirited for my liking.

Welsh Baftas- I wonder if Ronnie Corbett was there...

I heard he was, he had a bit of whizz just to blow away the cobwebs, got it off Moira Stewart again !

I thought Torchwood was a bit duff that they had a store room with boxes in with the Torchwood Logo on the side, and other things with the logo on. I'm sure the MI5 don't have things with MI5 written on like cars and equipment.

Yeah, a 'secret' orgaisation with the most conspicuous vehicle imaginable. The Dukes of Hazzard were lower key!

I heard that when the US secret service crated up the Roswell ship it had 'Secret Service Secret Spaceship - this way up' on the box.

And it was wheeled into a huge storage area by a little old man.
