Sad news that Majel Barrett Roddenberry has passed away, the wife of the late Star Trek creator Gene Rodenberry. She appeared in the original Star Trek pilot The Cage as Number One and then went on to appear in the series as Nurse Christine Chapel. She also did the voive of Lt. M'Ress in the Star Trek: The Animated Series and played Lwaxana Troi, the mother of Deanna Troi in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Also she was the voice of various onboard computers Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and most of the Star Trek movies including the new movie due for release in 2009. She also had appearances in Westworld, Genesis II, The Questor Tapes, Planet Earth, Babylon 5 and Earth: Final Conflict amongst many more.
