He said if he didn't quit now he'd be playing the Doctor in a bath-chair. Now that would be a show.

I do wonder who they'll get to replace him. I believe Russell Brand is free at the moment..

Does the new Doc have to be younger, and the same gender? I'm not up on the canon - not that that is anything to go on.

Other suggestions being James Nesbitt (host, by co-incidence, of the BIFA that Mark Stirton's off to soon), but is older.

If Sean (I'm in the khazi) Pertwee lands the role I hope that shortly after his regeneration he looks in the mirror and remarks on how familiar his face looks, and notes how his voice isn't far off either.

I can't see Jack Davenport landing this, personally. And Marc Warren is practically in everything these days. Is he seriously a contender?
