The Making of Drench - Brains Dances

I recently made a post here about 2 adverts on TV using Thunderbirds characters, well you can see the making of the Drench advert were Brains dances here an inventive use of real puppet and CG FX by The Mill.

I don't think the ad works. Either the timing's off or they chose the wrong track... can't decide, but something don't click.

I know loads of people who know this ad but can't remember what it's for, they all say is it for Spec Savers ! I seen this and the Spec Savers ad run back to back in the same advert slot the other night on ITV.

It's a very clever ad thats so good I keep forgetting what it's for. Both companies must be kicking the advertising execs.

Nice stuff from the Mill and excellent puppetry. New thunderbirds movie anyone?

It's a fun advert but I knew there had to be some CG in there somewhere.

I suppose the real Brains was too old to dance around.

Yup. For me, it was Specsavers that came to mind. Then when I noticed the product, I thought it was a generic "drink water" message. Slainte, I'll have another glass of water now.

I wonder if sales of Thunderbirds dvds have increased recently?
