Davison daughter to be new 'Who' companion?

Former Doctor Who star Peter Davison's daughter Georgia Moffett is reportedly in the running to play the Time Lord's new companion.

Moffet's casting for a key part in the upcoming fourth season was announced in December, but the Daily Star claims that she may become a regular in the Tardis for the fifth season in 2010

However, according to the report she will have to fend off a challenge from 23-year-old actress Felicity Jones for the coveted companion role. Jones, who will also feature in the next season of Doctor Who in an episode revolving around Agatha Christie, is best known for her parts in The Worst Witch and Cape Wrath, alongside her role as Emma Grundy in long-running radio soap The Archers.

"Several names are in the frame," a source told the tabloid, "but Georgia and Felicity are currently on top of the shortlist - both have their merits."

I'm still hoping Sally Sparrow will be an assistant at some point soon.

Just so long as it isn't that Tate woman!

Hmm... looks interesting... ditto above: anything will be an improvement on Tate.

Ah, but who will be the Doctor?

Dear old tate. That reminded me of one of her fan sites I saw a while ago. Looks like it's been left for a while though, sure that will change when she appears on the show.

From the trailer that I've seen for the new series it would appear that Tate will be at least annoying some of the time. Looks like we'll just have to put up with her for now, though I'm sure she said this is the only series she's doing.
As for the new Doctor, I've sent my application to the BBC again.

Would be nice to see Sally Sparrow back again, along with her boyfriend.

Would be nice if the relationship was between two companions rather than the doctor and a young lass yet again fancying the pants off him.

Would be nice if Jennifer Saunders played the Doctor next, as rumored at one point.

Would be nice of the moon really was made of cheese.

Yeah Ian, I always thought if Sally Sparrow was to go along then her brother would make a nice addition to the team, set up a whole new dynamic for the Doctor and hi assistant.

Sally Sparrow could get me interested again though.
