Evil Dead Daughter

Here's the quick 20 minute make-up that I did for my daughter this Halloween, I'd originally made about half a dozen latex appliances but due to time we only managed to get 2 fixed on and painted, pity but the family was in a bit of a rush to get to a party, which I avoided.

Oh yeah the Evil Dead style eyes were done after in Photoshop just for effect on the picture.

I said to the wife 'It's a trick...get an Axe'

That looks excellent! Shame you didn't have a close up picture so we could see the detail

I did take a closer one before they rushed out, but when I checked it the flash hadn't gone off so it was rather yellow and blurry looking :( By the time they got back it was starting to look a bit tatty as she'd started to peel it off !

Man that's just cool, The last time I did the kids was a very very long time ago, I'd assume the appliances are generic rather than on a face cast but how are you at face casting, I did a few a few months back, had a load of alginate kicking around going out of date so I did the family for practice, then I tried doing myself and it was disastrous :), looking for some one to possible collaborate on a make up if you know anyone

It was good fun doing this as I haven't done any Make-up stuff in ages, my daughter isn't the best person to practice on as she can't sit still for long.
I just made some generic appliances and then used some latex and tissue around them and then used face paints just to paint some detail and shadow etc...
Gerard have you got a project your working on that requires make-up like the film you did a while back or you just doing stuff yourself ?

The main reason for starting on the project -WithIn- was driven by one purpose, to create a credable sculptural portfolio of work that reflected my own design, something that my previous work doesnt really reflect, make up is one missing element that I've never been really interested with in the passed, but starting -WithIn- has given me a desire to try one, it will be for my own practice and self indulgnance but im hoping it will be the pinnacle and last -WithIn- peice before moving on.

As to Phantom Reel I will be doing stuff for Sean but I'm not to sure he has anything planned just yet

Nice job on zombiedaughter, good job Bruce Cambell wasn't in town that night.

I may post one of me at this weekend's party, if I've got the balls.
