Wookie inspiration ?


Above are 2 illustrations by famed Dune artist John Schoenherr that he painted in the early 70's for the SF Magazine Analog, for the story 'And Seven Times Never Kill Man' by George R.R. Martin. It's not hard to work out which Star Wars character these were the influence for, even down to the weapons.

John Schoeherr is my grandfather. I'm glad someone else noticed this, too.
