This device is the Village Bike of Sci-Fi, everybody's had a go. It's been showing up for years in various SF TV shows and Films, what it does nobody really seems to know but hey it has flashing lights and looks cool so it must be important...mustn't it ?!
I'm sure what I have here is only a tiny amount of this devices appearances, I can almost bet it's been in Battlestar Galactica or Buck Rogers, I bet it was in Dr. David Bruce Banner lab in the Incredible Hulk TV show, and if it wasn't then why not. If only the Star Wars prequels had used this device, maybe that's what they were lacking. Every home should have one, this and a plasma ball.Let me know of any other sightings of this device.

You`re dead right about one being in the Hulk tv show. I purchased the "prop" at a memorabilia show back in the 70`s. Unfortunately one night two men dressed all in black came to my door and demanded they give me the money back and took the thing, which I understand is known as "The Device". I still shudder every time I see it in the background of the latest Science fiction show.

Hey I've seen this in loads of things now that you've mentioned it. Mainly American stuff as I recall.
I seen an ad on a forum once for the firm that hires this in Hollywood, I'll try and locate the ad again !
It's a "Moon Destroyer™". Don't ask what it does.
I bet Tesco's will sell these,they sell everything else. :D
