They've always got to spoil the fun !! :(
An "inappropriate" underwater scene was cut from an episode of Doctor Who, David Tennant has revealed.
Actress Freema Agyeman, as loyal assistant Martha Jones, apparently stripped down to her underwear for the piece. The footage will never be seen however, thanks to producers who decided it should be cut.
"There was an underwater scene in a draft of the new series but we nixed it out," explained Tennant. "It was bordering on inappropriate. You can't have shagging in the Tardis."

If it was inappropriate, the script editor should’ve spotted it before it was even filmed! It’s a shame though as Freema has a nice bottom!! Nyssa slipped off her skirt in “Terminus” and Peri was in her bikini for part one of “Planet of Fire” so what’s the problem? We’ve seen Hannah Spearritt in her undies twice now in “Primeval” so it’s not as though skimpy attire is a foreign country!!!
I can think of at least three different instances of inappropriate dialogue, and in the three best episodes, in the first season alone of the recent revival of “Doctor Who”, which I would’ve script-edited out to make it more suitable for a family audience, if I had the job.
You wouldn't be talking about the paving slab by any chance? Cannot believe that got through.
That paving slab scene was shocking !! I'm surprised that got through at all !!
Just realized, the paving slab was the second season.
What? Are pants not allowed on the Tardis? Surely skimpies can never be viewed as inappropriate, whereas a distinct lack of skimpies on a pre-watershed sci-fi show can and should be?
Tch! Tch! To the Beeb!
I'm also not sure how having a character in her underwear constitutes 'shagging in the Tardis' ? as Tennant states !
perhaps because that's what it alluded to?
They do state it was an underwater scene though, more liked she had to strip down to make swimming easier ?
I recall that in the old series when Collin Baker (he with the blonde curly hair and wild coat(I might be way off on the name)) had a hot, busty companion, (Peri Brown)...the first shot we see of her was a high camera angle so that we could see massive cleavage while she wore a bikini...
But now, years later, (and when Victoria secrets has women in less than undies on TV during prime time - in America - ) why would stripping to her skivies be a problem? Unless perhaps her clothes became see through...
That is a problem we a conscious of on our film since 95% is shot in the rain...
I think the scene was cut from the script before it was filmed.
I was all ready to buy the box set with all the cut scenes included - and a box of tissues.
