Now you may be saying to yourself either that you don't remember this ship in the 1970's show Battlestar Galactica or that it's from Buck Roger's in the 25th Century.
This ship was designed by Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie for Glen A.Larson's Battlestar Galactica as the original design of the Colonial Viper, however it was rejected so McQuarrie designed the Viper we now know, but this design was recycled as the Starfighter in Buck Roger's in the 25th Century a few years later.

I still like the Viper but it was a bit more X-Wing/Star Wars than the Starfighter !!
Personally always preferred the one in Buck Rogers too...Can't imagine how it would've turned out if they re-did this one for the new BSG series.
