here in Jan o8' I got a lot of feedback on this, though I didn't let on it was a model as I think some people thought it was a CG render.
Anyway, the model has been minus it's wing and top hatch for a while, so during a clear out I've fixed it and decided to take some pics to prove it is really a kit and not a CG render.
The Tie-Fighter has always been one of my favourite
Star Wars ships, I like this much better than the later Tie-Interceptor from
Return of the Jedi.

I always liked the tie fighter, it just seemed more believable and honest than all the sleek aerodynamic spacecraft form other films and tv shows that swooped and banked into turns as if they had some air to support them. I suppose that the borg cube would be the ultimate in that case.
Having said all that, I still can't see past The Blitzspear as far as my own dream transport is concerned.
I must confess I rather liked the sportier, more fiercer looking Tie Interceptor and have a soft spot for the Tie Bomber briefly featured in one of the asteroid scenes in Empire Strikes Back.
