A statue will be erected in the honour of late AC/DC star Bon Scott in Perth, Western Australia next February.
The singer's monument will be unveiled at a testimonial concert which will feature performances by the remaining members of his band, Status Quo, Mondo Rock and The Valentines.
Scott is a popular icon in Australia and his grave in Freemantle, near Perth has been named on a list of national cultural monuments.
The rocker was born in Scotland in 1946, but emigrated to Australia in 1952, where he helped form the heavy metal legends.
He died in 1980 from alcohol poisoning after a night out at London's Camden Palace.
