When I was 11 in 1978 I had this Star Wars Wallpaper on just one wall of my tiny Box Room Bedroom, it was probably there for around 6 - 7 years, I recently did a search around to see if I could find any good pics of it, besides the picture of me sat in bed ill reading the latest on Star Trek:The Motion Picture in the new edition of Starburst magazine I could find anything else. Then I was told on a forum by a guy named Andrew March that the factory that made this wallpaper and The Empire Strikes Back wallpaper had burnt down in the 80's, but he thinks his Mam has a couple of unopened rolls of this in her attic. I was also alerted to someone selling it on Ebay along with Empire wallpaper, still wrapped. It was pretty cool wallpaper, I wish I'd got my Mam and Dad to get a few spare rolls too now.
While searching I found this pic of me, again aged 11 with some of my new Star Wars toys. Those being, the Cantina Playset, Darth Vader's Tie Fighter and the X-Wing Fighter, all of these were released in the Uk by Palitoy
Hard to believe this was 29 years ago now,it was so much more fun in the 70's.

Loved those toys!
Are you sure you're not me?
I remember that wallpaper too well.
You really were an Ewok!!!
I had the Empire Strikes back wallpaper. It always looked like Yoda was being shot in the ears by an x-wing fighter.
Bloody hell, I had Black Hole wall paper on one wall and the other three as old as the hills woodchip white. I remembering making a catina outta carboard, bog role tubes but no double sided sticky tape we where never that posh...toys toys toys!!
I had the Empire wallaper on one wall! The other was covered with Blakes 7 posters! When we bought our house 9years ago we looked at a few in the same street, there was one that had Empire wallaper in the loft, still really colourful too! It was worth buying the house for... but I didn't.
I'm retrospectively jealous, I never had Star Wars wallpaper. I did have Superman (comic, not film) wallpaper and a Buck Rogers bedspread though.
I had a wall with Blake's posters as well. Always did like Dayna..
Great post.
It's cool to see you frozen in time with those Star Wars toys. I wish I had some pics like that.
Hello, I had the exact same Star Wars wallpaper that you had in your room back in 1978. Would you be interested in selling a roll?
Thanks, Hans.
Hi Hans, Thanks for posting. The picture of the rolls of wallpaper was one that I found online, I don't actually have any rolls of it myself, but would love to get some. I think there are some for sale on Ebay now and again. I just remember it being really cool when I had it in my bedroom as a kid.
I use to have the Empire Strikes Back Wallpaper. i wish i could find some pics of it on the wall,,or even on the web.
I also had the Ep4 wallpaper! We haven't found any photos of my room from that period (78-85) yet.
Managed to buy a 3ft length a few years ago and framed it!
