Still, once I finished my comic I was all nice and calm again. Started with what felt like a sort of weird boom under the house. Like the house had gone over a speed bump! And then the shaking started. My desk felt like it was jumping up and down. Ran through to grab my son thinking the roof was going to collapse. And then it stopped.

I remember the one from 2002. We lived in a flat in Notts. It felt more like a shudder compared to this one. This one felt like everything was moving up and down, the tremor back then felt more like it was moving side to side if you get my meaning. It started with the front door rattling downstairs, we thought someone was trying to break in, then you could feel the direction it was moving in as it rattled the bed head and moved down the bed. I jumped out of bed and ran to the window and watched as the car alarms went off down the street in a line as it moved away. Lights coming on like a Mexican wave. Like something out of a Spielberg movie, know what I mean, where you have this rush of case and then eerie calm. And then it was all deathly quiet.I. N. J. Spoke to my parents this morning up here and my Mam thought there house was subsiding or something and the house was going to disappear into a hole.
First time I've ever felt an earth tremor, it really felt like a huge articulated lorry passing the house or something, bizarre.
